The RSP Steering Committee
On the day of the Launch, the RSP Steering Committee met for the first time. This governing committee determines the RSP policies and approves work plans and budgets. The committee is composed of a variety of stakeholder organsiationd This will guarantee broad support from civil society, which is a condition for recognition of the initiative in the market. At its first meeting the Steering Committee was composed as follows:
- Chair: Toon Huijps (MOB), representing Dutch speaking members
- Bram Callewier (Beltrami), representing Dutch speaking members
- George Padelopoulos (B&Q), representing UK members
- Carlos ('Tos') Anonuevo (Builders and Woodworkers International), a representative from the international trade union movement
- Gerard Ook (India Committee of the Netherlands), a representative of civil organsiations
- Joost Oorthuizen (IDH), The Dutch Initiative for Sustainable Trade is co-funder and supporter of the program.
During the first meeting, amongst other things, the Terms of Engagement for Steering Committee members were approved, which define how the SC will supervise the RSP.
